A letter from a Recipient Mother to her Egg Donor

Dear Donor,

I wanted to send you a little note to say that we are thinking about you and pray that the retrieval goes smoothly for you tomorrow.

I am sure that the decision to become a donor is not an easy one, but we are grateful that it was the right decision for you.  We tried unsuccessfully for five years to have a second child and we could not be more thrilled by the prospect of growing our family with the help of your donation.  Rest assured that any child born as a result of your donation will be extremely well loved and taken care of.  He or she will also have a very caring big sister who tells me regularly that she would love to have a sibling.

We feel very fortunate and blessed to have found such an intelligent and beautiful young woman for our donor, and we appreciate the trips you made to Dallas for this donation.  You will always have a special place in our hearts.

We wish you all the best and good luck tomorrow!

With love and gratitude,

Recipient Mother
